Welcome! I hope you enjoy your stay and find more of whatever you started following me for! If you have any suggestions, let me know!

So I listened to Muse’s Black Holes & Revelations at the behest of Kendra. I didn’t like it nearly as much as Absolution or Origin of Symmetry but it was still really good. I am still shocked that I actually am enjoying listening to them. I used to be so adamantly against them.
Also, Kendra’s mention of watching Metropolis the other day has made me watch it again tonight. I forgot how terrible the DVD I have is…the picture quality is not even close to what it should be. Perhaps once I get some money to spend, I’ll buy the Complete Metropolis that was recently released. Maybe even on Bluray. Of course, if I got it on Bluray, it would minimize the amount of people I could lend it to.

Growing up
really fucking sucks
I’ve got too much stuff
I don’t make enough
And soon I’m gonna turn to dust
I’m gonna turn to dust
And I am afraid I don’t care.
Growing up
really fucking sucks
I’ve fallen down
and I can’t get up
And soon
I’m not going to bother
I’m going to lay on the ground until I die
and I’m afraid I don’t care.
Growing up
really fucking sucks
I want to fall in love
but I don’t love anybody
And soon, there will be nobody
who will want to fall in love with me
And I’m afraid I don’t care
Andrew Jackson Jihad - Growing Up
The brevity and honesty of Sean Bonnette’s lyrics are refreshing in a scene full of ‘deep metaphors’ that mean nothing and soulless word-pandering. In short, I love this man and I want his moustache.
It’s going to be the best party ever. And don’t worry about not being able to get on AIM, I’m heading out for work soon too! Maybe we’ll talk tonight when we both get home from work.

Watching Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated and trying to quell my headache. I need something exciting to do.
Personal Space Invader by Andrew Jackson Jihad
I gave birth to twin wire hangovers
Now I am a personal space invader
I’ve classes I’ve finals due
I have lots and lots of problems
Lookout

How can you put that straw up your nose
When you know how coke is manufactured?
It’s made by children for the immature
It’s made by babies who’ve been captured
It’s a sin against your fellow man
It’s a sin against your fellow man
Welcome to this world have as much fun as you would like
While helping others have as much fun as you’re having
Be kind to those you love
And be kind to those you don’t
But for God’s sake you gotta be kind
And respectful because we’re all one soul
Be the best fucking human that you can be
I just started The Devil’s Highway by Luis Alberto Urrea, and it’s amazing. It’s about a section of land on the Arizona/Mexico border and the 26 Mexican men who attempted to cross it. Only twelve survived. Urrea’s writing style is warm and personable, and he handles the topic with dignity. So far it seems unbiased, being fair to both the immigrants and Border Patrol. Check it out!
